Abby Hookey

Terms of service

Last updated: July 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you book a consultation or discovery call, or join the membership, with AH Dietetics — the private dietetic practice of Abby Hookey, Registered Dietitian (HCPC: DT26564). Contact: abby@ahdietetics.com. By booking or subscribing you agree to these terms.

The services

One-to-one consultations (£120) are private video consultations providing personalised dietetic assessment and advice. The membership (£80/month) provides member resources, meal plans, a community forum, and a monthly group call; it provides general guidance and support, not individual clinical advice. Prices include VAT where applicable and may change for future bookings — never for one you've already paid for.

Important health information

Information on this website, in member content, and from the chat assistant is general in nature and is not a substitute for personalised medical or dietetic advice. Never change how you take a prescribed medication without speaking to your prescriber. Consultations provide dietetic advice within Abby's professional scope; they do not replace your relationship with your GP or specialist. If you are unwell, contact your GP or NHS 111 — in an emergency call 999.

Please provide accurate and complete health information when asked — safe advice depends on it. Abby may decline or discontinue a service where it wouldn't be clinically appropriate, with a full refund for anything not delivered.

Cancellation & refund policy

One-to-one consultations (£120)

Your right to cancel when you book online (cooling-off period)

When you book online, you have a legal right to cancel your booking within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no reason needed (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).

If your appointment takes place within those 14 days, you'll be asked at booking to confirm that you'd like the service delivered during your cooling-off period. You can still cancel any time before the appointment itself under the schedule below — but once the consultation has taken place, the fee is no longer refundable under the cooling-off right.

Cancellation schedule

  • More than 7 days before your appointment: full refund, or free reschedule — your choice
  • 2–7 days before: 50% refund, or one free reschedule
  • Less than 48 hours before, or missed appointment: no refund

Where the 14-day cooling-off right gives you more than this schedule, the cooling-off right wins — you always get whichever is better for you.

Rescheduling

One free reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. A rescheduled appointment can't then be cancelled for a refund (though Abby will always try to be flexible if something serious comes up).

If Abby cancels

Full refund, or priority rebooking — your choice. If Abby is ill or has an emergency, you'll be offered the earliest available alternative.

Serious circumstances

Emergencies, bereavement, sudden illness — tell us. This policy sets the baseline, not the limit of reasonableness.

Membership (£80/month)

Rolling monthly subscription. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period and no further payments are taken. No partial-month refunds. The 14-day cooling-off right applies to your first payment: full refund if you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing, less a proportionate charge for any period you've had access.

Membership content and conduct

Member resources and meal plans are for your personal use only — please don't share, resell, or republish them. The community forum must be used respectfully: no medical advice to other members, no promotion of unsafe practices, and no abusive behaviour. Membership may be ended (with a proportionate refund) where these rules are seriously or repeatedly broken.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability in connection with a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
